Job Overview

Mansions Management Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As the second-in-command in our kitchen, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency in food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design and implement menus that meet the needs of our discerning customers.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, ensuring that they meet our culinary standards.
  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure timely and efficient food service, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Assist the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation, including ordering supplies and managing inventory.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve kitchen efficiency and productivity, ensuring that our team is working at its best.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are equipped to meet the demands of our kitchen.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring that our kitchen meets the highest standards of sanitation and safety.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and customers, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Strong understanding of culinary principles, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
