Store Operations Leader

About You:
We are seeking a knowledgeable Store Operations Leader with extensive retail experience. You possess 4-5 years of expertise, are adept with retail management software, and excel in providing exceptional customer service. Your role will involve ensuring the store operates seamlessly, mentoring new team members, maintaining inventory levels, and optimizing store efficiency. If you are skilled in communication, inventory oversight, product expertise, team leadership, customer relations, loss prevention, store management, visual merchandising, and operational effectiveness, we would like to connect with you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Overall Retail Store Functions
- Responsible for the opening and closing procedures of the retail outlet.
- Uphold a tidy, organized, and secure shopping environment.
- Ensure attractive presentation of merchandise and point-of-sale displays.
- Conduct daily reporting of store activities. - Achieve Sales Goals
- Meet established sales revenue objectives.
- Become an authority on our sports products and their benefits to customers.
- Identify and understand customer needs.
- Recommend the best products to enhance customer performance in their sports. - Provide Outstanding Customer Experiences
- Create a welcoming and enjoyable shopping atmosphere for customers.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through superior service.
- Serve as the primary contact for addressing customer inquiries and concerns with care and empathy. - Ensure Operational Effectiveness
- Team Leadership & Development
- Develop and manage work schedules to ensure appropriate staffing during busy and slow periods.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including labor laws and health and safety standards.
- Conduct training for new team members.
- Monitor punctuality and performance of team members. - Recruitment of New Team Members
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a store manager or in a comparable retail management position, ideally within the sporting goods sector.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Proficient in utilizing point-of-sale systems and other retail management tools.
- A passion for sports and a solid understanding of sporting goods and equipment.
- A high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
