About the Role

Cooke Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Sales Manager to oversee the development of sales and customer management for our Smoked Salmon division. This is a remote position, and we are looking for individuals residing in the United States or Canada central to the seafood industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze system data and troubleshoot day-to-day customer sales, orders, and pricing.
  • Support our Managing Director with new and existing customer opportunities.
  • Determine and communicate new selling options to customers.
  • Analyze critical processes and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise with customers and our internal production planning.
  • Order management while assisting logistics to ensure that product arrives to customers.
  • Actively hunt for new business opportunities.
  • Leverage existing contacts and develop new relationships to expand market reach.
  • Negotiate and close deals, aiming to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Understand and keep up-to-date with industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop strategies that align with consumer needs and preferences.
  • Develop and expand the company's presence in national territories.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing.
  • 7+ years proven experience as a Seafood Sales Representative, with specific experience selling Smoked Salmon.
  • Exceptional sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of hunting and securing new business.
  • Ability to operate on a national scale, with multi-channel sales experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
