Job Description

**Job Summary**

Coverage, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Account Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our account management team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Maintenance: Day-to-day maintenance of commercial accounts, including processing endorsements, distributing policy documents, and processing renewals as assigned.
  • Support to Account Managers: Provide support to account managers in servicing existing customers, receiving and processing policy change requests, and maintaining MIS client files.
  • Client Communication: Respond to client inquiries, incoming mail, and company requests in accordance with agency guidelines.
  • Billing and Collections: Prepare billing following agency's credit and collections policies.
  • Professional Development: Participate in courses for insurance/sales skills, maintain current knowledge of underwriting requirements of carriers, and keep current with industry trends by reading appropriate journals and company bulletins.
  • Special Projects: Participate in any special projects at management's request.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate State License(s): Appropriate state license(s) required.
  • Minimum 3 Years' Experience: Minimum 3 years' insurance brokerage or equivalent experience required.
  • Education: Two-year associate college degree required; four-year college degree preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Thorough knowledge of brokerage operations, including procedures, commercial lines endorsement processing, agency management system, and applicable insurance laws/codes. Excellent time management, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills.
