We are in search of a seasoned engineering professional ready to transition into an Engineering Manager position. In this capacity, you will oversee a dedicated group of engineers focused on enhancing, streamlining, and reducing costs for our existing product lines. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical foundation in mechanical or electrical engineering. Your responsibilities will include planning, executing, and delivering sustaining and value analysis/value engineering (VAVE) projects, while also guiding and mentoring your team members. Our product range is continually expanding, encompassing everything from compact fans to large-scale cooling solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Direct the sustaining engineering team in designing, developing, and testing product enhancements that elevate performance, quality, and customer value. Utilize expertise in engineering product simplification and cost reduction techniques to spearhead value engineering initiatives. Offer technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering skill development and career advancement. Assess team performance, establish performance objectives, and conduct evaluations. Maintain a customer-centric approach by leading the team in reviewing and facilitating customization requests. Collaborate with New Product Design, Software, and Compliance teams to ensure the successful integration of new products into our MRP system. Oversee initiatives aimed at maintaining and enhancing CAD/PDM systems and processes for product bill of materials integration. Manage the Engineering Change Request/Engineering Change Order process to ensure thorough review and implementation of product drawings and BOM modifications. Monitor key departmental metrics, including budget management, program timelines, and process improvement initiatives. Assist in the technical assessment of new suppliers and manufacturing techniques. Stay informed about industry trends and competitive products, incorporating insights into your work.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. A minimum of 5 years of experience in sustaining engineering, value engineering, product simplification, and cost reduction. At least 3 years of experience in leading and managing engineering teams. Proficiency in designing parts, assemblies, and drawings using Solidworks. Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of driving projects to completion. Familiarity with new product development processes and tools. Excellent documentation and communication skills. Commitment to adhering to project timelines and delivering tasks punctually. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities. Experience with design, fans, motors, motor controls, HMI, and Solidworks is advantageous. Strong communication skills. Familiarity with UL standards and requirements.
