Position Title: Systems Engineer
Location: Lexington, MA
Onsite Expectations:
- Expertise in Model Based Systems Engineering
- Proficiency in SysML
- Familiarity with Magic Draw/Cameo or Rational tools
Role Overview:
- The chosen candidate will collaborate within a team to execute systems engineering tasks for a significant program.
- Key responsibilities encompass developing, cascading, and monitoring requirements, designing system architectures, creating an MBSE model of the systems and their interactions, orchestrating verification and validation processes, and pinpointing risks while establishing strategies for risk mitigation.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- A bachelor's degree in physics, Mechanical, Electrical, Aero/Astro, Software Engineering, or related disciplines, coupled with a minimum of 7 years of pertinent experience in systems engineering for space or airborne systems. A master's degree or PhD may substitute for years of experience.
- Capability to support a comprehensive range of systems engineering functions across various programs.
- A systems-oriented approach to identify necessary technology development initiatives.
- Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to generate and present professional reports and presentations.
- Experience with SysML Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools is essential.
- Background in hardware and software integration is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Magic Draw is a plus.
Additional Information:
- Hybrid candidates should anticipate working onsite approximately 50% of the time, with flexibility to increase onsite presence based on project requirements.
- Interim clearance is required to commence work.
- The interview process will consist of two stages.
- Preference for the second-round interview to be conducted onsite if feasible.
- Travel is estimated at 10%, domestic only.
