About the Role:
The Lead Barista position at Sprudge is a full-time opportunity to join our team in a corporate office setting. As a Lead Barista, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our coffee bar, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of baristas to achieve exceptional customer service and quality standards
- Coordinate with the head chef and kitchen staff to ensure seamless collaboration and support
- Provide training and support to staff to maintain high standards of product and service
- Schedule staff and manage inventory and ordering of supplies
- Ensure compliance with company policies and health/safety standards
Requirements:
- Lead or supervisory-level experience in specialty coffee, hospitality, and/or customer service industry
- Significant specialty coffee barista experience required (1-3 years on the bar)
- Facility with dialing in espresso to taste
- Demonstrate strong milk texture and latte art skills
- Enthusiasm and passion for coffee and community
- Tactful and thoughtful communication skills both oral and written
- Self-sufficient and motivated; take initiative
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently
- Enjoy working on a team and collaborating as a team player
- Fully vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19
