Position Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Franklin, IN (100% Onsite)

Employment Type: Fulltime Permanent with AXISCADES.

Position Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the implementation of new manufacturing techniques, the creation of standardized operational documentation, support for machinery startups, and the management of validation and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and standardize operational documentation.
  2. Assist in the startup of new machinery and the implementation of manufacturing processes.
  3. Conduct validation activities and prepare PPAP documentation.
  4. Participate in gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (R&R), process layout, and 5S design. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.

Education & Experience Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline is required.

Alternative Qualifications

An Associate's degree accompanied by over 7 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with less than 5 years of experience will also be considered.

Technical Skills Required

Proficiency in interpreting part prints and designs.

Capability to develop Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Control Plans.

Basic understanding of gauging and part inspection methodologies.

Desired Technical Skills

Experience in designing and executing manufacturing processes.

Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.

Knowledge of automation technologies.

Strong understanding of safety and ergonomic considerations in manufacturing processes.

Effective time management skills.

Experience in equipment installation and troubleshooting.

Proficiency in CAD tool design.

Soft Skills

A collaborative team player with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

A strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
