Business Development Manager

The Covestro TPU Sales and Market Development Manager North America will be responsible for expanding business development and forward marketing in the Extrusion segment, as well as managing a portfolio of direct customer accounts.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and execute a strategic marketing plan for major Extrusion segments, including segmentation, go-to-market strategies, value proposition development, competitive analysis, and product portfolio management.
- Identify and generate attractive business opportunities in Extrusion segments, such as Film & Sheet, by cultivating relationships down the value chain and translating customer insights into sales.
- Manage customer accounts in assigned areas, ensuring strong relationships and driving business growth.
- Contribute to the long-term competitiveness of TPU North America by developing new business opportunities and strategic marketing plans, particularly for the Extrusion segment.
- Strengthen the Covestro TPU brand in North America through effective marketing and sales efforts.
- Align regional market growth with the ambition of the global TPU business.
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific field, business administration, marketing, or a closely related field, and at least 4 years of experience in a marketing and/or sales-related function; or Master's degree in a scientific field, business administration, or a closely related field, and at least 2 years of experience in a marketing and/or sales-related function.
- Experience in film and sheet development is preferred.
- A strong network in the industry is also preferred.
- Ability to think strategically and develop effective marketing plans.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.
- Ability to influence and lead others indirectly.
- Fluency in marketing tools and strategy development.
