Korn Ferry is collaborating with our client in the search for a Senior Financial Executive for a Family of Companies.

Position Summary:

The Senior Financial Executive (SFE) will be instrumental in steering the financial prosperity of our diverse family of companies. The SFE will manage all financial operations across the portfolio, providing strategic oversight, financial planning, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Oversight:

  • Formulate and execute financial strategies that align with the long-term objectives of the family of companies.
  • Offer strategic financial counsel to the Principal.
  • Direct the financial planning and analysis initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.

Financial Operations Oversight:

  • Supervise the preparation and evaluation of consolidated financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and reports for all entities.
  • Ensure robust financial controls and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial resources to support business expansion and operational requirements.
  • Oversee tax strategy and compliance for all entities.

Investment and Capital Strategy:

  • Assess and implement investment opportunities, including mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Maintain relationships with financial institutions, investors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Supervise treasury operations, including cash management, investment strategies, and risk mitigation.

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Guide, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing finance team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Encourage collaboration and alignment across finance, accounting, and other departments.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the primary financial spokesperson, presenting financial outcomes and strategies to the Board of Directors, investors, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver financial reports, analyses, and forecasts to the executive team and Board of Directors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in a multi-entity or family of companies environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing financial strategies that drive business growth.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with capital markets, investment management, and M&A activities.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels.
  • High integrity, ethics, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

  • Experience in relevant industries.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with an entrepreneurial mindset.

This position requires the Senior Financial Executive to work on-site at the company's headquarters.
