The Managed Supply Chain Solutions division focuses on comprehensive capacity management, supply chain analytics, managed solutions, and transportation management. The Director of Strategic Operations will act as a vital support to the Senior Vice President of Managed Supply Chain Solutions, facilitating high-level assistance in driving departmental and organizational objectives, overseeing strategic initiatives, and enhancing communication across various levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Development:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Vice President and leadership team to formulate and implement strategic initiatives that align with organizational goals.
  • Work closely with the finance team to establish and uphold the Operating Plan.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of departmental budgets, addressing any concerns or issues as necessary.

Communication Management:

  • Lead the preparation and content creation for departmental meetings, coordinating with team members to finalize topics and messaging.
  • Oversee the bi-annual employee survey to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare presentations for the board and other reporting materials as requested by the executive team.

Leadership Assistance:

  • Manage various projects initiated by senior leaders within Managed Supply Chain Solutions, focusing on operational growth and commercial excellence.
  • Provide extensive support to the Senior Vice President, including meeting preparation and priority management.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding sensitive projects and requests.

Project Oversight:

  • Lead and oversee critical projects from conception through to implementation, ensuring timely delivery in line with business objectives.
  • Effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects across various subject areas, adapting quickly to meet business needs.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Collaborate with Operations and Sales leads to develop, implement, and assess key performance indicators and metrics by business unit.
  • Track progress against strategic objectives, providing regular updates and recommendations for enhancements.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration:

  • Assist in prioritizing key projects, fostering collaboration and communication across departments to promote a culture of transparency and accountability.

Change Leadership:

  • Drive organizational change initiatives, partnering with leadership to assess impacts, communicate effectively, and ensure successful implementation.

Self-Management:

  • Exhibit entrepreneurial spirit and self-starting capabilities.
  • Work independently while recognizing when to escalate issues and manage upwards.

Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a strategic leadership role within management consulting or a high-growth startup environment.
  • Proven project management expertise with a history of successfully leading complex initiatives from start to finish.
