About the Role

Penta Group is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Leader to join our Washington D.C. office. As a Senior Leader, you will be responsible for setting strategy, driving innovation, and delivering exceptional client service across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Client Retention and Project Success: Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with client leads to ensure project profitability and seamless communication.
  2. Strategy and Team Management: Lead the development and articulation of strategy for each client and/or project, and set high standards for execution and client deliverables.
  3. Public Affairs Expertise: Oversee the execution of bespoke public affairs strategies for clients, including stakeholder mapping and engagement, media relations, event planning, and message development.
  4. Firm Leadership: Develop strong strategic relationships internally and externally, surfacing internal challenges and proposing solutions that align with Penta Group's culture of ownership, empathy, and innovation.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Political Science/Government, Business, Journalism, Public Policy, or related field.
  2. 12-15+ years of professional experience in communications or policy roles in a related field, with experience working in a client service environment preferred.
  3. Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate multiple talented teams, empowering different types of personalities with a team-first mentality.
  4. Expertise and interest in research and/or working in a relevant policy field, with familiarity with politics, the legislative process, and corporate industries.
  5. Strong analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
  6. Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple, competing priorities.
  7. Willingness to learn new skills and participate in new projects, leading by example and embracing new challenges.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Location and Schedule

This role is based in the greater Washington D.C. area and requires the ability to work in our downtown DC office Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $205,000 - $280,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on firm performance.
