Job Summary:
The Senior Group Leader position is responsible for assisting the School Age Child Care Director/Site Director/Group Leader in the daily operations of the program. This includes maintaining a safe, clean, engaging classroom for our Before and After-School programs. The SGL will plan, prepare, and execute various activities with participants, including STEAM projects, group games, HEPA and PHD activities, Character Development curriculum, and provide homework assistance. Additionally, the SGL will assist in oversight of all program activities, communicate with families, and ensure all equipment and supplies are available.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist the School Age Child Care Director/Site Director/Group Leader in daily operations
  • Maintain a safe, clean, engaging classroom
  • Plan, prepare, and execute various activities with participants
  • Assist in oversight of all program activities
  • Communicate with families
  • Ensure all equipment and supplies are available
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have high school diploma or GED
  • Must obtain CDA within 18 months of employment
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Documentation of physical examination and TB skin test
  • Clear the local jurisdiction requirements for criminal background and/or fingerprinting
  • Must meet the county/state licensing requirements
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to meet OSSE requirements
  • 90 Hour Certification (45 hour Growth and Development and 45 hour School-Age Method and Materials) required or attained upon employment
