Senior Executive Leader

Job Summary:
The Office of Inspector General is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Executive Leader to serve as the Chief of Staff. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of the organization's mission and goals, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic advice and guidance to the Deputy Inspector General on key issues and initiatives.
- Oversee and direct the administrative components of critical program segments, including oversight and investigations.
- Develop and execute strategic plans, initiatives, and communications to accomplish target enterprise performance goals.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to develop complex work products and communicate the results of agency work.
- Represent the IG, Deputy IG, and Assistant IGs in dealings with Department-level managers within HUD, as well as other governmental departments, members of Congress, Congressional committees, and key Congressional staff members.
Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
- Complete a one-year probationary period in the Senior Executive Service (SES) under career status.
- Public Trust Background Investigation will be required.
- Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.

- Must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
- Interpersonal Skills, Oral Communication, Written Communication, Integrity/Honesty, Continual Learning, Public Service Motivation.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategic plans, initiatives, and communications to accomplish target enterprise performance goals.
- Demonstrated experience leading comprehensive oversight programs, and implementing innovative processes, methods, and approaches to continuously improve oversight operations.
Additional Information:
- This position has been designated as a Career Reserved position and will be filled on a career basis.
- OPM Certification: An initial appointment to an SES position is contingent on approval from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Review Board unless the selectee has successfully completed an OPM approved SES Candidate Development Program.
- Veterans' Preference does not apply to the Senior Executive Service.
