Absolute Engineering, Inc. is seeking a skilled Civil CAD Technician to contribute to our dynamic team of engineers.

As a key member of the design team, you will play a vital role in developing innovative and practical solutions for a diverse range of land development projects. These projects encompass various scales and complexities, including mixed-use developments, residential subdivisions (single-family, multi-family, townhomes), and commercial ventures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed zoning plans for submission to government agencies and municipalities, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to produce comprehensive construction plans that meet project specifications and industry standards.
  • Create precise drainage, grading, and roadway plans, incorporating best practices for sustainable design.
  • Develop conceptual layouts and site designs, visualizing the overall project vision and functionality.
  • Maintain and update existing plans, incorporating revisions, notes, and legal descriptions with accuracy.
  • Proactively identify potential challenges and propose creative solutions to ensure project success.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a CAD Technician within the civil engineering field.
  • A genuine passion for land development projects and a desire to contribute to their successful execution.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with Civil 3D and ArcGIS is highly advantageous.
  • Prior work experience in a civil engineering firm is preferred, demonstrating a strong understanding of industry workflows and practices.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, thriving in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with project managers and team members.
  • A self-motivated and results-oriented individual capable of working independently and as part of a cohesive team.
