BGE, Inc. is in search of a CAD Designer with a strong foundation in civil engineering, particularly in the realm of land and site development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute land development engineering tasks independently, guided by clear objectives and general supervision from a project manager or supervisor.
  • Prepare comprehensive due diligence studies and site planning documents.
  • Design systems for grading and drainage, as well as water and wastewater management, including stormwater detention facilities.
  • Oversee the preparation of permitting construction documents and reports, collaborating closely with team members, local review agencies, and clients.
  • Engage in civil engineering land development, infrastructure design, and the creation of construction documents for roads, parking lots, storm drainage systems, stormwater management facilities, and utility systems including water mains and sanitary sewers.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including skills in grading, alignments, profiles, corridors, earthwork, and experience with pipe networks and storm sewer design.
  • A solid understanding of local and state agency regulations and ordinances pertinent to the construction plan approval process.
