As an **Environmental Project Engineer**, your role will encompass all facets of project execution, including **design**, **permitting**, **specifications**, **quantity calculations**, oversight, **report writing**, and **project management**. You will also be responsible for **cost estimation** and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop engineering designs and manage the completion of all necessary permits and requirements.
- Assist in the bidding and contract procurement processes.
- Oversee construction activities, ensuring quality control and compliance with project specifications.
- Conduct fieldwork and manage project documentation, including reports and proposals.
- Lead project teams while collaborating effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Perform thorough quality control assessments of project deliverables.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess:
- A **bachelor's degree** in civil or environmental engineering, or a related field from an **ABET-accredited institution**.
- A current **PE certification** and the ability to obtain licensing in the required states.
- Experience in **stormwater design**, **environmental remediation**, and **site development**.
- Proficiency in **AutoCAD design software**, particularly **Civil 3D**, along with strong skills in **Microsoft Word** and **Excel**.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in **industrial stormwater or wastewater design**, **utility design**, and **construction management** is advantageous. Familiarity with **hydrologic and hydraulic assessments** and a **40-hour HAZWOPER certification** are also beneficial.
