Culinary Operations Manager

Position Summary

The Culinary Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Director of Food and Nutrition Services by providing leadership, motivation, and direction to the Food and Nutrition Services Department. This position is essential in achieving established standards and enhancing customer satisfaction.

  • Develop and oversee customer service improvement initiatives.
  • Complete all required reports in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with training programs.
  • Adhere to Universal Precautions and Infection Control Procedures.
  • Participate actively in management team meetings and decision-making processes.
  • Coach and develop production and retail staff to reach their full potential.
  • Lead the department in the absence of the Director.
  • Ensure adherence to established procedures and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Manage supply ordering and budget compliance.
  • Monitor production, sanitation, and safety standards.
  • Implement cleaning schedules and conduct sanitation inspections.
  • Ensure proper food storage and temperature control.
  • Conduct quality service audits and address operational challenges.
  • Engage in community service events and volunteer opportunities.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong leadership skills, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency in computer applications and excellent communication skills are essential.
