Position Overview:


Are you dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring patient satisfaction? As a Culinary Service Specialist, you will play a vital role in the meal preparation and service process.

Your responsibilities will include setting up, preparing, and assembling meals and trays for patient service. You will also prepare nourishments, infant and pediatric formulas, and tube feedings as required. Inventory management and stocking of supplies in patient care areas will be part of your daily tasks. You will ensure the provision of timely, nutritious, and high-quality food while maintaining excellent customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine cleaning of work areas to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Manage inventory and stock supplies in the galley according to established par levels.
  • Monitor and document temperatures of refrigerators, freezers, and food items, taking necessary actions if temperatures fall outside acceptable ranges.
  • Inspect food items for quality and safety, ensuring proper rotation and monitoring of expiration dates.
  • Deliver nourishments, formulas, and tube feedings to patients as needed.
  • Operate food carts, racks, and dish bins efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean environment by conducting regular cleaning and deep cleaning of equipment, refrigerators, cupboards, and tables as required by regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and pre-portion food items for patient tray assembly, ensuring accuracy in food counts.
  • Weigh and measure menu items to accommodate special dietary needs.
  • Prepare both hot and cold food items following standardized recipes for the patient menu.
  • Handle leftover items appropriately and prepare bulk nourishments and swallow evaluation kits.
