Executive Chef

The Renaissance Savory Hotel is seeking a seasoned Culinary Director to spearhead our food service operations. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Menu Development and Execution: Collaborate with our culinary team to design and implement menus that showcase our expertise and meet the evolving tastes of our guests.
  • Culinary Operations Management: Oversee all cooking operations, including methods, portioning, and garnishing, to ensure consistency and quality in every dish.
  • Inventory Control and Procurement: Develop and implement efficient inventory control systems to minimize waste and ensure timely procurement of high-quality ingredients.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Train and develop Sous Chefs to manage department budgets, schedule, and supervise line cooks, prep cooks, and stewards.
  • Employee Development and Management: Interview, hire, and train employees, determine/approve pay increases, conduct performance reviews, counseling, discipline, and recommend for promotion or termination.
  • Compliance and Safety Management: Maintain and correct procedures for inventory control, ensure compliance with Federal, state, local, and regulatory standards, and promote a safe working environment.
  • Financial Management and Planning: Plan and control departmental budget, plan long-term and short-term business objectives, and achieve budgeted revenues and expenses.
Requirements:
  • 3 years' experience as a Culinary Director or Exec Sous Chef with a full-service property
  • Management experience required
  • Graduate of an accredited Culinary School program preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications required
  • Verifiable record of improving measurable metrics related to the Food Department and guest satisfaction
