Your Responsibilities:

Key Duties
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, events, and catering services.
  • Establish and implement procedures to uphold high standards.
  • Communicate regularly with the Executive Chef and management regarding updates and changes.
  • Maintain food quality, presentation, sanitation, and safety standards.
  • Ensure prompt and courteous responses to all requests from clients, guests, and team members.
  • Assist in staff selection, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities that motivate and inspire team members.
  • Monitor food and labor costs effectively.
  • Conduct daily inspections of storage areas to ensure cleanliness and proper organization.
  • Utilize specification sheets for daily preparation and maintain inventory levels.
  • Contribute to the development of new menu items.
  • Ensure consistent presentation of food items.
  • Address customer needs and requests promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of food preparation areas.
  • Ensure compliance with grooming and sanitation standards.
  • Manage all opening and closing kitchen procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Culinary arts degree or equivalent training with 7+ years in the industry, including 2+ years in a management role.
  • Experience in banquets and catering for large events.
  • Strong business communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of employment and industry laws.
  • Conflict management and negotiation skills are essential.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Required State Food Handler's License.
