Your ResponsibilitiesCollaborate closely with the Executive Chef to create innovative and delectable culinary offerings. You will lead team initiatives, facilitate communication, provide training, and resolve challenges while delivering exceptional service to our guests. You will serve as a champion for the restaurant, crafting memorable experiences and fostering guest relationships that encourage return visits.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee all kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef.
- Proactively address and resolve any issues that arise.
- Guide and mentor kitchen staff, creating effective work schedules.
- Conduct interviews and hire new team members; manage work assignments and performance evaluations.
- Identify potential talent and provide necessary training as positions become available.
- Manage inventory, ensuring quality control of all food items for daily service.
- Maintain budgeted labor costs and assist in managing overtime.
- Ensure timely food production, aiming to execute all orders efficiently.
- Engage in service education through regular team meetings and training programs.
- Support the restaurant in achieving financial goals while maintaining high food quality standards.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization within kitchen facilities.
- Prior culinary experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant or relevant culinary education.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Strong knowledge and passion for various cooking techniques, ingredients, and industry standards.
- Exceptional knife skills.
- Leadership qualities with a focus on team collaboration.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
