About the Technology Innovation Director Role

Axim Collaborative is a nonprofit organization focused on broadening access to education and deepening the impact of digital innovations and learning opportunities for millions of learners who have faced barriers in realizing their education and career aspirations.

We partner with institutions and organizations that serve students who have been systemically and historically underserved by education systems, with the goal of catalyzing new digital and education practices that engage students in their course of study, enable them to persist through their programs, and excel in their careers.

This is a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and creative role that drives partnerships with technology innovators and institutions of higher education to develop solutions in the service of student outcomes.

This role will also require occasional travel to partner sites, conferences, and in-office meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stay current with emerging trends and innovations in technology and their potential applications for student outcomes
  • Work closely with project partners to define success metrics and embed them into technology platforms and implementations
  • Support partners to link product development to student outcomes and impact goals with an eye on sustainable financial models and scale
  • Project-manage technology-innovation partnerships and multi-stakeholder collaborations, nurturing relationships, tracking and documenting progress, and identify barriers
  • Identify new technology partnership opportunities and contribute to Axim's grant making strategy and thought leadership related to technology innovation

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4-7 years experience developing or implementing innovative technology-solutions with a clear link to increasing student access and/or success in broad access higher education (community colleges, large public universities, minority-serving institutions)
  • Strong understanding of the current state of technology solutions for higher education
  • Ability to engage effectively with external partners and add value to relationships, especially in the context of technology implementation and education transformation projects
  • Experience working as part of a dynamic technology organization or team responsible for developing and implementing new solutions with college or university partners
  • Strong project management, prioritization, and planning skills, with demonstrated success producing high-quality deliverables on time and within budget

We Offer

A comprehensive benefits package including comprehensive medical and dental insurance, generous paid time off, paid parental leave, life and disability insurance, a competitive 401(k) plan, and a generous employer match.
