Position Overview
We are seeking a Contracts & Regulatory Specialist to support our healthcare professionals. This role will assist the Corporate Counsel in managing the pharmacy's legal needs and will be responsible for various contract-related tasks, including:
- Drafting and preparing agreements under the guidance of the Corporate Counsel.
- Organizing files and tracking contracts.
- Developing internal contracting procedures and best practices.
- Conducting contract audits.
This position will also maintain pharmacy Medicare and Medicaid enrollments by submitting updates and revalidations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities
The Contracts & Regulatory Specialist will:
- Track pharmacy payer network participation and coordinate recredentialing requirements.
- Prepare documentation and complete related legal and regulatory tasks as assigned.
- Support the Corporate Counsel in ensuring precise and consistent execution of responsibilities.
- Maintain a master contracts list and conduct audits in line with accreditation requirements.
- Communicate contract procedural requirements to internal stakeholders.
- Identify areas for improvement in the contract management system and implement solutions.
- Assist with government program participation tasks, including portal maintenance and responding to audits.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree, preferably in legal studies or healthcare management.
- Three to five years of experience in the legal, regulatory, or healthcare fields.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid.
- Experience with payer contracting processes and contract management systems.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe software.
Work Environment
This role is performed in an office setting, with significant PC work. The nature of the workflow may require flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work beyond standard hours.
