Position Overview

The Patient Access Representative plays a crucial role as the initial point of contact for visitors at our healthcare facilities. This position is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes.
  • Schedule appointments and handle registration tasks.
  • Verify patient demographics and insurance information.
  • Provide telephone support and perform data entry duties.
  • Handle authorizations, pre-registration, and new patient referrals.
  • Collect payments at the point of service and perform additional assigned tasks.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years of experience in customer service or a healthcare office environment is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a collaborative team spirit.
  • Proficient in data entry and familiar with various software applications.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is essential.
