About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Community Health Network. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional security services to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients and staff.
  • Respond to critical incidents and emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the hospital campus to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Assist with the investigation of incidents and accidents, and provide evidence to support investigations.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with hospital staff, patients, and visitors to promote a positive and secure environment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current Indiana Driver's License required.
  • One year of security experience in a healthcare or related setting preferred.
  • Must obtain Hazmat Certification Level 1 and Indiana License to Carry a Handgun within one year from hire.
  • Ability to utilize departmental policy and the Use of Force Continuum guidelines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under stressful situations and maintain a high level of professionalism.
