Job Title: Property Officer I

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Officer I to join our team at the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives. As a Property Officer I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and efficient management of records and assets within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving, checking, storing, picking up, and accounting for records.
  • Pick up and receive boxes of records from state agencies, check boxes for correct labels, and match boxes to transmittal.
  • Check pickups and deliveries for accuracy against transmittal.
  • Retrieve individual records to ship to state agencies, local government offices, and courts.
  • Copies and transmits as appropriate and according to customers' requests.
  • Re-file and inter-file records in the correct box when returned by the requesting agency.
  • Pull boxes of records scheduled for destruction.
  • Coordinate for disposal of records according to established policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • High School Graduate
  • No experience, training, or skills required
Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds and/or work in uncomfortable positions such as standing, walking, or kneeling for an extended period of time.

The Education and Labor Cabinet participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the United States.
