Job Title: Property Officer II

Join the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet as a Property Officer II and contribute to the safe and efficient management of Kentucky's highway systems.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to coordinate the outflow of warehouse property, physically inspect and log incoming property, and manage records of property acquisition, surplus, transfers, and values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with district staff and contractors to ensure smooth operations
  • Inspect, tag, and log incoming property to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Manage property records, including acquisition, surplus, transfers, and values
  • Review and manage operating procedures for inventory, control, and transfer of property
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Two years of experience in inventory, control, sales, or disposal of property, or a related field
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack
  • Ability to safely handle warehouse materials
Working Conditions:

This position requires a 6-month probationary period and may involve occasional travel for equipment inventory and road safety training.
