Hotel Operations Leadership

As the General Manager of our Holiday Inn Express KC North, you will be responsible for the overall profitability of the property. This includes coordinating and supervising the various departments' staffing, ensuring the highest standards of service, quality, and comfort exist for our guests, and maintaining positive guest relations and presenting a professional image through our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interviews and hires employees for all departments and maintains all payroll records.
  • Compiles and approves all revenue reports, as well as payroll reports and verifies for accuracy prior to sending to the corporate office for pay request.
  • Prepares daily bank deposit and makes deposit at bank by 2:00pm, and personally distributes payroll on each payday.
  • Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and orders supplies as needed, and transmits all invoices for accounts payable to the corporate office weekly.
  • Transmits all direct bill accounts to the corporate office daily as received, and inspects a minimum of five rooms per day for cleanliness as to the standards set out by Quality Assurance policies.
  • Reviews hotel exterior appearance for cleanliness of parking areas and weed control, and participates in business, community, and civic affairs in the local area.
  • Ensures that all policies, procedures, federal, state, and local laws are adhered to by all employees in regard to personnel and safety.
