Wastewater Operations and Maintenance Technician

Position Overview:
Under the supervision of Project Management, this role involves the daily operation and upkeep of the wastewater treatment facility, encompassing all associated infrastructure, equipment, buildings, and grounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts technical operations and maintenance activities related to the wastewater facility, including all relevant infrastructure, equipment, processes, and systems.
- Performs routine preventive maintenance activities for all infrastructure, equipment, processes, and systems.
- Executes wastewater sampling and laboratory monitoring in accordance with project and regulatory standards.
- Assists in maintaining optimal functionality and condition of all equipment and processes.
- Adheres to all corporate and regulatory policies, procedures, and emergency response protocols while performing work safely and professionally.
- Available for weekend, holiday, and on-call work as part of a rotating schedule with fellow operators.
- Responds to emergencies and works additional hours as necessary to complete tasks.
- Contributes to fostering a culture of focus and engagement within the project to achieve excellence in environmental health and safety.
- Maintains accurate operational and maintenance documentation and records.
- Operates project vehicles, heavy machinery, forklifts, etc.
- Performs cleaning and housekeeping duties across all facilities, buildings, and grounds.
- Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.
Work Environment:
Work is conducted both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to various weather conditions. Employees may occasionally encounter noise, silica, dust, fumes, smoke, gases, greases, oils, electrical energy, solvents, and vibrations. Additionally, employees may work on uneven surfaces, near machinery with moving parts, and may be exposed to water and other liquid materials.
