Job Overview

Raytheon Technologies is in search of a seasoned professional with a robust and proven track record in Supply Chain Management to assume a pivotal role as a Material Program Manager (MPM) within the Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) initiative. In this capacity, you will be tasked with analyzing, forecasting, developing, and ultimately fulfilling program objectives within a matrixed environment that includes cross-functional teams, program management, and company leadership.

In this highly visible position, you will serve as the key liaison between Supply Chain and Program teams, taking responsibility for the materials supplied by our diverse supply base associated with the designated product line. This supply base encompasses a variety of small to large enterprises and major subcontractors that produce high-level assemblies, various commodities, and materials of varying complexity. Your role will be instrumental in shaping our acquisition strategy and ensuring compliance with contractual and customer expectations.

This position collaborates closely with Program Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Factory Management, and several other departments to develop and execute strategies and objectives for the product line. Our collaborative efforts aim to meet cost, quality, and schedule targets to fulfill the needs of our customers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with program and partner functions to ensure effective supplier management and that material deliverables align with program requirements.
  • Prepare and present metrics and status updates during team meetings, program reviews, and CORE meetings.
  • Engage with suppliers weekly to ensure adherence to performance standards regarding cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Oversee the integrity of the MRP environment and the program schedule, balancing supply and demand to maintain an executable timeline.
  • Take ownership of the supplier and financial management processes for the materials under your purview, including risk assessment, opportunity identification, and material sales forecasting.
  • Assist procurement with supplier Requests for Proposals/Quotes (RFP/RFQ).
  • Proactively address urgent supply chain tasks, ensuring the integrity of purchase requisitions and expediting orders to support continuous production.
  • Willingness to travel to suppliers as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to convey program status, issues, and resolution strategies to key stakeholders, including senior management and customers.
  • Ability to articulate customer and product requirements to the supply base and conduct supplier engagements regarding capability, capacity, cost, and delivery schedules.
  • Proactive in addressing program challenges that may cross traditional supply chain boundaries, thriving in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience in cross-functional teams and the ability to influence beyond your immediate leadership structure.
  • Familiarity with Factory and/or Production Control processes and the ability to analyze Material Requirements Planning (MRP) data.
  • Proficient in data analytics and scenario analysis to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Experience in supply chain operations within the defense sector.
  • Background in supplier management, including proposal reviews and source selections.
  • Familiarity with Supply Chain Planning tools such as SAP, PowerBI, or Kinaxis RapidResponse.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
