Role Summary:

We are in search of a seasoned professional with a robust background in Supply Chain Management to assume a pivotal role as a Material Program Manager (MPM) within the Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) initiative. In this influential position, you will be responsible for analyzing, forecasting, and achieving program goals within a collaborative environment that includes cross-functional teams and leadership.

As a key point of contact between Supply Chain and Program teams, you will oversee the materials sourced from our supply chain, which encompasses a diverse range of businesses and subcontractors producing various components and assemblies. Your expertise will shape our procurement strategies and ensure we meet contractual obligations and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with program teams and associated functions to ensure effective supplier management and timely material deliveries.
  • Prepare and present metrics and status updates during team meetings and program reviews.
  • Engage with suppliers weekly to monitor performance against cost, quality, and schedule benchmarks.
  • Maintain the integrity of the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system and manage program schedules to align supply with demand.
  • Oversee supplier and financial management processes for materials, including risk assessment and sales forecasting.
  • Assist procurement in the preparation of supplier Requests for Proposals/Quotes (RFP/RFQ).
  • Address urgent supply chain tasks proactively to ensure continuous production.
  • Travel to supplier locations as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
  • A University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years in a relevant field, or an Advanced Degree with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is mandatory for security clearance eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey program status and resolutions to stakeholders.
  • Ability to articulate customer and product requirements to suppliers and manage supplier engagements effectively.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional teams and the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Familiarity with Factory and Production Control processes and MRP data analysis.
  • Experience in data analytics and scenario analysis for risk management.
  • Background in supply chain operations within the defense sector.
  • Experience in supplier management and selection processes.
  • Proficiency in Supply Chain Planning tools (e.g., SAP, PowerBI, Kinaxis RapidResponse).
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
