McKinney, Texas, United States Raytheon Technologies Full time

Job Overview

Raytheon Technologies is in search of a seasoned professional with a robust and successful history in Supply Chain Management to assume a pivotal role as a Material Program Manager (MPM) within the Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) initiative. In this capacity, you will be responsible for analyzing, forecasting, developing, and ultimately fulfilling program objectives within a matrix environment that includes cross-functional teams, program leadership, and company executives.

In this highly visible position, you will serve as the primary liaison between Supply Chain and Program teams, taking accountability for the materials sourced from our supply chain for the designated product line. The supply base encompasses a diverse range of small to large enterprises, as well as major subcontractors engaged in the production of high-level assemblies, various commodities, and materials of varying complexity. Your role will involve shaping our acquisition strategy to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and customer expectations.

This position collaborates closely with Program Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Factory Management, and several other departments to formulate, develop, and implement strategies and objectives for the product line. Our collective efforts aim to meet cost, quality, and scheduling targets to satisfy the needs of our customers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with program and partner functions to ensure effective supplier management and that material deliverables align with program requirements.
  • Provide metrics and updates by preparing and presenting reports during team meetings, program updates, and monthly CORE meetings.
  • Engage in weekly supplier interactions to guarantee performance metrics (cost, quality, and schedule) are achieved.
  • Maintain and evaluate the integrity of the MRP environment and the program's schedule, balancing inbound supply and demand to facilitate an executable timeline.
  • Assume overall responsibility for supplier and financial management processes for the materials under your oversight (including Risk/Opportunity assessments, Line of Balance, Metrics, and Material sales forecasts).
  • Assist procurement teams with supplier Requests for Proposals / Quotes (RFP/RFQ).
  • Proactively address and resolve urgent supply chain issues (including Purchase Requisition integrity, Single/Sole Source Justifications, Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW), and Purchase Order follow-ups) while providing necessary guidance to procurement to expedite orders and ensure timely receipt of materials for ongoing production.
  • Willingness to travel to suppliers as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 3 years of experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is essential.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to convey program status, challenges, and resolution strategies to all key stakeholders, including senior management and customers.
  • Proficiency in translating customer and product requirements to our supply base and conducting supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, cost, delivery schedules, opportunities, and risks.
  • Highly motivated to take initiative in resolving program challenges that may span traditional supply chain boundaries. Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments that demand critical and creative thinking.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience in cross-functional teams and the ability to influence beyond your direct reporting line.
  • Understanding of Factory and/or Production Control processes and the ability to assess and analyze Material Requirements Planning (MRP) data.
  • Competence in data analytics and conducting scenario analyses to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Experience in supply chain management within the defense sector.
  • Background in supplier management (Proposal Reviews, Best Value Source Selections, Competition).
  • Familiarity with Supply Chain Planning tools (e.g., SAP, PowerBI, Kinaxis RapidResponse).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
