Client Relationship Consultant

About the Role
At U.S. Bank, we're committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences and building long-lasting relationships with our clients. As a Client Relationship Consultant, you will play a critical role in achieving this goal by providing personalized support and guidance to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow-up
- Assess and attend to clients' banking needs, obtaining and processing customer and account information
- Demonstrate and educate clients on available deposit and loan products and services
- Recommend solutions based on each client's unique goals and needs
- Maintain a working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services, including digital products and services
- Provide a consistent optimal client experience, including greeting clients and processing basic transactions
- Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners to best serve clients
- Open new consumer and business accounts, complete service requests, and submit credit applications
- Proactively educate clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services to assist with meeting their financial needs
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Typically has a minimum four to five years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow-up
- Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients
- Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures, and support systems
- Thorough knowledge of all retail products and services
- Proven customer service and interpersonal skills
- Experience in participating in sales campaigns/promotions
- Experience with using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies
- Ability to explore and identify a customer's true needs while leveraging a digital first mindset
- Demonstrated advanced level of proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer's needs both reactively and proactively
