Role Responsibilities
The Personal Banker I is responsible for delivering an exceptional client experience for Bank of Texas clients. This role is designed to empower individuals to provide superior service during every interaction, fostering a deeply engaged client relationship. Responsibilities include addressing inquiries regarding account activities, processing teller transactions, and offering insights on digital banking solutions, debit cards, and a variety of other financial products.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver outstanding client experiences to foster, grow, and maintain long-term client relationships. Engage in consultative discussions with both existing and potential clients to evaluate their financial needs and recommend appropriate banking products and services. Facilitate the opening of a comprehensive range of retail products, including loan offerings, for both new and existing clients during standard banking center services and teller transactions. Educate clients about additional banking conveniences such as online banking, Bill Pay, E-Statements, and mobile and ATM deposit features. Address a variety of client concerns, ensuring the highest level of satisfaction and experience. Execute various teller transactions for clients (e.g., cashing checks, processing withdrawals, and providing account balances) while seeking opportunities to deepen client relationships and identify ways to assist clients in achieving their financial goals. Adhere to internal controls, audit standards, security protocols, and compliance regulations. Engage in professional development through training, self-improvement initiatives, and skill-building activities to enhance product knowledge, systems proficiency, sales techniques, and client relations skills. This includes participating in coaching sessions and setting personal goals for success.Qualifications
This position typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of 1+ years of experience in sales or customer service; a college degree is advantageous or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Familiarity with consumer financial products and services. Understanding of banking operations, retail sales, and/or contact center environments, including support via phone, email, and chat. Strong verbal communication skills, capable of providing customer information, resolving issues, and building relationships through effective questioning. Proficient written communication skills, demonstrated through professional etiquette and proper grammar. Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities. Capacity to follow established guidelines and discern when to escalate issues appropriately. Solid basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) for account reconciliation. Proficient in PC applications, including word processing and spreadsheet software, with the ability to learn various internal systems. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent interpersonal skills, including sales and client relations, both in-person and over the phone. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
