This position entails regular fieldwork, necessitating travel and overnight stays, including weekends. As a Field Engineer, you will collaborate closely with senior technical personnel. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, challenging environment and seeks opportunities for professional growth and skill enhancement in a team-oriented setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in construction by monitoring and documenting activities at solid waste landfill facilities, including field inspections and soil testing.
  • Oversee and execute construction quality assurance and control tasks across multiple states, focusing on landfill components and environmental control systems.
  • Coordinate effectively with senior staff and management to ensure project success.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff members.
  • Analyze technical data and generate comprehensive reports, including operating plans, quality assurance reports, and permit applications.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in engineering or construction management is preferred, though relevant experience may be considered.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Flexibility to travel for extended periods as required.

  • Experience in land surveying is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D is desired.
  • Completion of a soils mechanics course with laboratory experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a motor vehicle review are required.
While this is a full-time role, it is important to note that there may be periods of reduced hours or potential layoffs during off-peak seasons due to project scheduling and weather conditions. Typically, a Field Engineer can expect to work a full year (2080 hours) within a nine-month construction season.
