Position Overview

The Kentucky Personnel Cabinet is seeking a dedicated Environmental Engineer I to contribute to our mission of enhancing the quality of life for all Kentuckians through effective environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities

As an Environmental Engineer I, you will engage in a variety of tasks including:

  • Conducting thorough reviews and assessments of plans and specifications for drinking water and wastewater facility infrastructure projects to ensure adherence to relevant state and federal regulations.
  • Providing expert technical guidance and engineering oversight for initiatives related to Emerging Contaminants.
  • Executing periodic on-site inspections of construction projects focused on emerging contaminants.
  • Collaborating with local public water systems and stakeholders to facilitate project success.
Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Licensure as a Professional Engineer in the State of Kentucky, as mandated by the Kentucky Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors.
