Weaver Consultants Group is seeking a dedicated Field Engineer to engage in the installation, construction, oversight, evaluation, regulatory adherence, design, and maintenance of environmental control and monitoring systems for various sites including landfills and remediation areas.

This role will involve substantial fieldwork, necessitating travel and overnight stays, including weekends. As a Field Engineer, you will collaborate closely with senior technical personnel. Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to construction by monitoring and documenting activities at solid waste landfill facilities, including conducting field inspections and testing of soils and geosynthetic liners.
  • Oversee and perform construction quality assurance and quality control tasks across multiple states, including the development of landfill components and other environmental control systems.
  • Engage in collaboration and coordination with senior staff and management.
  • Provide direct support to staff members.
  • Analyze technical data and generate comprehensive reports, including operating plans, CQA reports, and permit applications.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in engineering or construction management is preferred, although relevant construction management experience may be considered.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to travel for extended periods.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is preferred.
  • Prior experience in land surveying is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D is desirable.
  • Completion of a soils mechanics course with laboratory experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a motor vehicle review (MVR) are required.
Although this is a full-time position, it is important to note that there may be periods of reduced hours or potential layoffs during winter months due to project scheduling and weather conditions. Typically, a Field Engineer will work a full year (2080 hours) within a nine-month construction season.
