Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Office Manager to join our team at Service Corporation International. As an Office Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the operational activities of a funeral home, cemetery, and/or crematory operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounting functions, including accounts receivable and payable, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Coordinate the processing of orders and receipt of merchandise, including memorials and caskets.
- Oversee the installation of funeral-related orders and ensure timely completion of contracts and work orders.
- Support location management in ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist in preparing and overseeing funeral/cemetery-related forms and reports.
- Administer local Human Resources processes, including new hire paperwork and employee files.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of bookkeeping, general office, clerical accounting, and Accounts Payable experience preferred.
- Solid working knowledge of computers, MS Office, and basic office equipment required.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a high level of compassion, integrity, and confidentiality.
Work Environment
Professional dress is required when interacting with families. Work involves sitting for long periods, climbing stairs, and manual dexterity for paperwork and computer use. Working beyond standard hours may be required.
