Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Project Superintendent to oversee various assignments for our esteemed client.

The Superintendent will manage a team of field personnel engaged in specific data center initiatives, focusing on site safety, productivity, adherence to schedules, quality assurance, and coordination with trade contractors and suppliers.

This role merges advanced technical expertise with fundamental project management techniques to successfully execute tasks related to the installation and upkeep of data center fiber infrastructure projects.

The primary responsibility of the Superintendent is to enhance overall job site productivity while ensuring the delivery of high-quality work.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Project Manager in planning material procurement and scheduling for assigned projects.
  • Maintain top-tier ratings from client evaluations.
  • Provide ongoing leadership and mentorship to all levels of field staff.
  • Support regular meetings and training sessions for Field Supervisors and Lead Technicians to discuss industry codes, standards, and installation practices.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Estimators, and Sales Teams to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client expectations on all projects.
  • Oversee and manage structured cabling operations.
  • Execute responsibilities efficiently and in a professional manner.
  • Work with the Master Scheduler to maintain accurate resource allocation and schedules in line with project bids and actual performance.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure construction activities align with the Client's Quality Management Plan and specifications.
  • Proactively strategize and lead job site resource organization.
  • Exemplify safety, quality, and core values on the job site through professional appearance and conduct.
  • Develop and enhance technical training, standard operating procedures, and work instructions to ensure compliance with the Client's Quality Plan and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the project team to identify methods for improving project efficiencies to enhance profitability.
  • Create frameworks for developing project metrics and managing data collection.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support Lean methodologies across the site to align with corporate strategic objectives.

Travel Requirements:

The individual in this position should be prepared to travel as necessary for project needs.


Qualifications:
  • Ability to independently solve problems and provide satisfactory solutions while supporting direct reports.
  • Knowledge of the structured cabling industry, including technology, quality, and safety standards.
  • Capability to assist the Regional Supervisor in leading, developing, and managing field personnel.
  • Skill in fostering cooperation among diverse stakeholders, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
  • Strong work ethic under pressure and adaptability during periods of change.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance while performing job duties.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and versatility in integrating into various work environments.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties, including sitting, talking, hearing, using hands, and performing various physical activities on a regular basis.
  • Willingness to travel as needed within the region and to other locations.

Typical Work Hours:

Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 5 PM.
