Overview

The Construction Project Leader plays a pivotal role in overseeing one or more construction initiatives, ensuring their successful execution. The main objectives of this position include managing daily construction operations at the project site, coordinating workforce schedules, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and equipment. This role is crucial in maintaining adherence to safety and quality standards across all project activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the project scope and monitor it consistently throughout the duration of the project, identifying any changes that may have financial implications.

2. Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure the effective execution of the project scope.

3. Implement and manage the project-specific safety program, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

4. Oversee the quality control program to guarantee that all quality assurance measures are in place for the delivery of a superior final product.

5. Conduct regular meetings and provide reports to both the client and Black Box to ensure alignment and transparency.

6. Ensure timely escalation of incidents in accordance with established policies and service level agreements.

7. Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance on career progression and training opportunities.

8. Monitor project progress to ensure compliance with specifications and adherence to timelines.

9. Assess and support manpower scheduling to maintain adequate staffing levels for project execution.

10. Deliver a client-specific end product that meets site-specific requirements and timelines.

11. Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors.

12. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Onsite Role

Essential Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing multiple low voltage projects concurrently.

- At least 5 years of experience collaborating with general contractors.

- Proven experience in managing construction projects within manufacturing, office, and data center environments.

- Experience overseeing projects with a minimum team size of 20 personnel and annual revenues exceeding $3 million.

- Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, tools, and materials.

- Familiarity with various low voltage disciplines such as Telecommunications, Fiber Optics, DAS networks, Security, Audio Video, CCTV, and Controls is preferred.

- Ability to interpret blueprints and understand technical specifications.

- Proven problem-solving skills in construction and design challenges.

- Experience in leading and motivating teams effectively.

- Strong organizational and communication skills.

- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe software.

Educational Background

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in IT Management or a related technology field is required.

- Preferred certifications include Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) from BICSI, PMP, and ITIL.

Supervisory Duties

This position will oversee Project Managers, Technicians, Coordinators, and may also manage Supervisors.
