Job Summary: As a Low Voltage Systems Installation and Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems. This includes but is not limited to cabling, security systems, audio/visual systems, and telecommunications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems, including structured cabling, CCTV, access control, fire alarms, and audio/visual systems.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Perform troubleshooting and repairs on various low voltage systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Blueprint Reading and Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to determine installation procedures.
  • System Testing and Inspection: Test and inspect installed systems to ensure they meet manufacturer and company standards.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with team members and other trades to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and concerns promptly and professionally.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electronics, electrical technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in low voltage systems installation and maintenance.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using hand and power tools commonly used in low voltage work.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of low voltage systems and components, ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical Demands: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in various environments (indoor and outdoor).
