Job Description

This role involves designing stormwater infrastructure to improve water quality and support communities. As a Stormwater Design Engineer at Herrera Environmental Consultants, you will join a team of experienced engineers, scientists, landscape architects, planners, biologists, and other experts working on a diverse variety of meaningful and impactful projects.

In this role, you will plan and design small- to large-scale stormwater facilities and infrastructure retrofits, complete civil site development engineering design for industrial facilities, parks, trails, and open spaces, and evaluate potential sources of contamination and propose solutions to manage stormwater to meet regulatory requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering
  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • A professional engineer (PE) license in Washington, Oregon, or California, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Experience in planning and design of stormwater infrastructure
