We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Process Design Specialist to join our team at Brown and Caldwell. As a key member of our Design Services Process Mechanical Group, you will be responsible for managing and executing design work on drinking water treatment projects.

  • You will utilize your technical expertise to ensure successful client project delivery.
  • You will participate in the mentoring and career development of junior engineering staff within the group.
  • You will collaborate with experienced technical experts and leaders from the BC Drinking Water Team.

Responsibilities

">
  1. Manage and execute drinking water treatment design work for water treatment facilities and infrastructure.
  2. Support project teams in planning and designing drinking water plants within our project delivery framework.
  3. Actively manage assigned projects and key clients.
  4. Assume responsibility for managing process mechanical budgets for assigned projects.
  5. Develop and maintain existing client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  6. Utilize experience and expertise to guide clients through available solutions to complex water treatment system problems.

Requirements

">
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering; Master's preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in drinking water treatment projects.
  • Experience preparing construction documents for water treatment infrastructure, including drawings, P&IDs, specifications, control narratives, etc.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License, Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental required.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.

Benefits and Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is $140,000 - $185,000 per year, depending on location and qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, life insurance, an employee assistance program, paid time off, and parental leave.
