Role Summary

The primary responsibility of the Banquet Culinary Specialist 2 is to oversee the Banquet kitchen staff, ensuring optimal operational efficiency, productivity, and adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Banquet Chef, Chef de Partie, and Executive Chef in organizing kitchen operations.
  2. Follow precise specifications to prepare food and set up for special events.
  3. Inspect cleanliness of kitchen areas, including floors and walk-ins.
  4. Ensure food is stored and served at appropriate temperatures, minimizing waste and spoilage.
  5. Monitor the presentation and quality of all food served to guests.
  6. Prepare large quantities of food consistently leading up to events and assist during service.
  7. Adhere to all policies and procedures of JC Resorts LLC.
  8. Report any suspicious activities or hazardous conditions immediately.

Qualifications and Skills:

Candidates should possess a basic understanding of English and be able to follow simple verbal instructions. A minimum of one year of banquet experience is preferred, along with a professional culinary certification or degree. Familiarity with local health regulations and food safety protocols is essential. A food handler's card is required upon hire.

Personal Attributes:

Successful candidates will be detail-oriented, organized, and efficient, with a strong focus on safety and high-quality standards. A friendly demeanor and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are essential.

Work Environment:

This role requires flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays. The work environment may vary, including both indoor and outdoor settings, and can involve a fast-paced atmosphere. The kitchen may be warm and humid, with potential hazards such as slippery floors.
