Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Front of House Operations Manager. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests and ensuring that our dining room operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily Front of House operations to deliver a 5-Star, 5-Diamond, 3-Michelin Star experience to all guests.
  • Maintain all aspects of the service areas and dining room, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for our guests.
  • Serve as the ambassador of the establishment, representing our brand and values to our guests and colleagues.
Essential Functions
  • Function as MOD on any given night, ensuring seamless service and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Take on a mentorship role with new staff members, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Identify and resolve problems that may impact dinner service, taking corrective action as needed to ensure a positive guest experience.
  • Maintain a mastery of different departments, including:
    • Kitchen: Act as an expediter, understanding cooking techniques and terms.
    • Front desk: Understand billing procedures and resort suite functions.
    • Housekeeping: Turn down rooms, locate and supply room amenities, and perform other tasks as needed.
    • Valet: Park and retrieve guest vehicles, including electric vehicles, and direct guests to local attractions.
    • Maintenance: Locate and replace light bulbs, and obtain assistance from maintenance staff as needed.
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with guests and colleagues.
  • Prior fine dining experience, with a strong understanding of service standards and procedures.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age, with reliable transportation.
  • Must be well-groomed and well-presented, with no visible tattoos.
  • Intermediate wine knowledge, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests about wine and other beverages.
  • Open to working holidays and weekends, with a flexible schedule.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Forbes Standards, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate in a language other than English, preferably Spanish or French.
  • Certification in alcohol awareness and CPR, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a service environment.
  • Prior experience with Resortsuite and Tock, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced wine knowledge, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests about wine and other beverages.
Skills
  • Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with guests and colleagues.
  • Must always be organized and maintain cleanliness of workstation.
  • Ability to speak using clear and professional language.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to cross-train across multiple departments and assist when needed.
  • Ability to assist guests with questions about the property, history, and surrounding areas.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift 30+ lbs.
  • Able to stand, bend, and walk for long periods of time.
  • Frequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, and climbing.
