Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at The Salvation Army Eastern Territory. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest quality of food and service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage the preparation and serving of meals and snacks to our customers
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our customers
  • Manage kitchen inventory and supplies to ensure adequate stock and minimize waste
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and high customer satisfaction
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a non-profit or food service industry
  • Proven track record of success in managing kitchen operations and staff
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly
  • Fluency in English language required; Spanish speaking ability preferred
