Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team at the State of Maine, Bureau of Human Resources. As a key member of our HR team, you will provide professional-level human resource support to our organization, including recruitment efforts, processing Family and Medical Leave requests, and position management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate centralized human resources activities, including recruitment, benefits administration, and employee relations.
  • Process Family and Medical Leave requests and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage position management, including job postings, candidate screening, and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with other HR team members to ensure compliance with laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated education, training, and/or experience in human resources or a related field.
  • Knowledge or experience working with recruiting, Family and Medical Leave, data analytics, and interpreting rules and regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
