Job Title: Supervisor for Data

Join the State of Maine, Bureau of Human Resources, in a dynamic role that combines data analysis, quality assurance, and leadership skills. As a Supervisor for Data, you will play a crucial part in guiding the Office of Behavioral Health's data-driven initiatives, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the data team in monitoring and evaluating information and data systems to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Support and assist the data team in evaluating and reporting for various programs related to substance use and mental health.
  • Utilize knowledge of data evaluation, data analysis, data visualization, and applicable laws and policies to ensure robust, accurate, and useful data.
  • Collaborate with program staff, grant managers, and other evaluators to monitor performance and achievement of grants and programs.
  • Identify and amplify key findings relevant to the Office of Behavioral Health's mission to support Maine people with mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders.
Requirements:
  • Eight (8) years of combined education, training, and experience in research, statistics, health planning, sociology, public administration, or management.
  • High proficiency in Excel and Tableau is strongly desired. Familiarity with R, SQL, and other coding software is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with behavioral health services for children and their families highly desired.
