Position Summary:

The BCBA will play a vital role in supporting individuals and their families by coordinating and delivering Applied Behavior Analysis services, conducting functional analyses, and assessments. This position is crucial for identifying strategies for behavior acquisition and reduction, as well as enhancing adaptive life skills. BCBAs at Asun Star Consulting, INC are instrumental in ensuring the seamless implementation of ABA programs and maintaining accurate documentation related to Behavior Support Plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervisory oversight across all programming areas, including training for Tech I's, Tech II's, and BT's.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs in Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Facilitate the creation and identification of resources and support materials for clients and their families.
  • Deliver model teaching and direct instructional support, including practicum supervision and in-service training for other professionals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of assessment tools, conduct functional assessments, and devise appropriate behavior strategies.
  • Offer ongoing support and training to BT's, Tech II's, and other ABA implementers, as well as individuals in supportive roles for families.
  • Manage a data collection system to establish baselines and evaluate program effectiveness, analyzing data regularly to inform program adjustments.
  • Develop treatment plans focused on teaching strategies and reducing maladaptive behaviors.
  • Review and approve behavior plans for field staff and provide necessary field supervision.
  • Stay updated with current literature, research findings, and resources, and complete continuing education courses to maintain BCBA certification.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to accept constructive feedback and enhance knowledge and skills accordingly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients, colleagues, supervisors, and community members.
  • Adherence to organizational policies and ethical standards as outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • Ability to interpret and implement clinical protocols and documentation.

Basic Physical Requirements:

  • Manual dexterity for specific computer and electronic device functions.
  • Physical presence at assigned job locations, which may include various community settings.
  • Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.
  • Visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication across various formats.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between job sites.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance in good standing.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated competence in behavior management, instructional skills, communication, organizational skills, and interpersonal relations.
  • Experience working with diverse clients across different age groups and functionality levels.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to utilize office equipment as necessary for the position.
  • Prompt responsiveness to communications via phone, text, and email.
  • Reliable and insured transportation.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of BCBA certification experience, unless otherwise approved.

Education:

  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field.
  • Successful completion of internship or formal training in behavior analysis and instructional strategies for clients with developmental disorders.
